Monday

ST-01 Highlights of the “Mile High” City
1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m., $42 per person

Begin with a tour of downtown Denver and a visit to Colorado’s spectacular capitol. Modeled after our nation’s capitol, the dome is gold-leafed and the front steps feature an official altitude marker measuring exactly one "mile" high! Stop at the historic Brown Palace Hotel, a remarkable example of Victorian architecture in the Italian Renaissance style. See the stunning public rooms and plan to return to indulge in Brown’s famous High Tea.

Conclude the afternoon’s introduction to Denver in lower downtown, or ‘‘LoDo,” as the locals call it. This vibrant area is home to the sport complexes Coors Field and The Pepsi Center, and Larimer Square, a trendy section of Denver brimming with one-of-a kind shops, first-rate restaurants, quaint cafes, and a hopping nightlife.

ST-02 Brew Hopping!
7:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m., $65 per person (must be 21 or older)

Colorado has more breweries per capita than any other state in the union! Since the 1800s, Colorado brew masters have been creating this frosty beverage for the masses—not withstanding prohibition, which lasted longer in the Centennial State than in any other. Tonight, get a true “taste” of Denver’s microbrews during this customized “crawl” of three popular downtown breweries. At each stop, brew masters will provide details on the craft, tours of the breweries and samples of their in-house favorites.

Tuesday

ST-03 Strike it Rich
Cancelled

ST-04 Denver’s Early Days
1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m., $50 per person

Travel back in time by exploring several of Colorado’s historic homes and learning about the men and women who established Denver.

Begin at Ninth Street Historic Park with a brief walking tour of a block of charming Victorian cottages originally built between 1872 and 1906. See the house where Golda Meir lived before immigrating to Israel, where she eventually became Prime Minister.

Next, visit the restored home of the "unsinkable" Molly Brown and hear the rags-to-riches-to-rags story of the famous woman who saved so many lives during the sinking of the Titanic.

Finally, tour the Byers-Evans Mansion, one of Denver's great historic homes. Built in 1883 by Rocky Mountain News publisher Williams Byers and sold in 1889 to the family of William Gray Evans, this residence is elegantly furnished with period furniture and collectibles and is a magnificent example of life in the Victorian era.

Wednesday

ST-05 The Sweet Life
1:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m., $45 per person (must be 21 or older)

Try original Colorado sweets and sip great Colorado wines on this tour of the “sweet life”! Hammond’s Candies still makes candy the way Carl Hammond made it 89 years ago! Tour the factory where the toffee is still dipped in rich chocolate and hand-rolled in crunchy almonds while the hard candy is still hand-pulled to extra shine. Chocolates and creamy caramels fill Hammond’s showcases, along with brittles, lollipops, candy canes and more!

Next, visit Balistreri Vineyards for a delightful wine and cheese tasting. Colorado’s vintners enjoy a well-earned reputation for producing a wide variety of premium wines. From rich Chardonnays and robust Merlots, Colorado wines consistently win top national and international awards. Meet the winemakers who will explain the cultivation of grapes, the fundamentals of wine making and the production of fine wines in Colorado’s unique Front Range.

ST-06 Rocks and Ridges
1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m., $42 per person

Take a panoramic ride into the foothills surrounding Golden, Colorado, and see two of Colorado’s most popular attractions.

Red Rocks Amphitheater is an acoustical marvel, where 9,000 seats are set in the red sandstone rocks. Visit the Red Rocks Visitor’s Center, designed as a tribute to the many musical groups that have performed here. This unique facility is not just the best place to hear live music, it's also an outstanding habitat: Red Rocks Park is home to a vast array of birds and flowers.

Next, head to Dinosaur Ridge, one of the world's most famous fossil localities. In 1877, some of the best-known dinosaurs were discovered, including Brontosaurus, Diplodocus, Stegosaurus, the Colorado State Fossil, and Allosaurus. A guide from the Dinosaur Ridge Visitor’s Center will accompany the group on a walking tour to actually see the fossils and other interesting sites.

ST-07 Colorado Baseball
6:40 p.m., $38 per person

AIHce’s annual baseball game pits the Colorado Rockies against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This event always sells out. Don’t delay…get your tickets today!
